Job Description

About Nosis Bio:

Nosis Bio is a well-funded biotech startup exclusively focused on cell-specific delivery of RNA therapies. We are an all-scientist team of biologists, chemists, and machine learning experts who believe that targeted extrahepatic delivery is the only thing preventing RNA therapies from becoming the standard-of-care for most chronic diseases. We combine deep expertise in receptor biology, generative AI, and high throughput in vivo data generation to exponentially accelerate the development of RNA therapeutics for new tissues.

About the Role:

Nosis has developed an in vitro platform to rapidly screen candidate molecules. We are seeking a Research Associate to support and continue to develop these in vitro functions. These workstreams involve modern molecular biology, screening assays, Next-Generation Sequencing, and mammalian cell culture. The hits from this process are rapidly scaled up and tested in vivo. The research associate will also support this core platform process, with responsibilities that include tissue processing and analysis. The researcher will also have the opportunity to contribute to other aspects of therapeutic development, including in developing in vitro disease models for the evaluation of drug candidates. Nosis has a culture that fosters continuous learning and development. At Nosis, you will have the opportunity to work on a challenging pharmacological problem at the cutting edge of machine learning-enabled therapeutic design.

What we are looking for:

  • Solid foundation in laboratory research (2+ years laboratory experience, ideally in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical role)
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following techniques: NGS sample preparation, mammalian cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology techniques
  • Training in working with primary cells and tissues is a plus
  • Training in immunology or immuno-oncology is a plus
  • Ability to work on site in our lab spaces located in Berkeley and Alameda.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment and meticulously follow the instructions
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in the biotechnology industry
  • Passion for accelerating therapeutic development and delivering cures for patients in need

?Nosis offers comprehensive benefits including stock options, fully paid health insurance, unlimited vacation, and retirement investment account options.
