Job Overview: Hematology/Oncology Physician (Contract Position)
Location: Minot, ND
Shift Details:
- 3 weeks per month required
- On-call rotation (night and weekend)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Coverage needed: 3 weeks/month
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Handle a variety of oncology cases (chemotherapy, biologic therapy, hormone therapy).
- Manage 10-15 new patient consults per week.
- Oversee 30-35 patients in infusion center daily, with 50% undergoing chemotherapy.
- Support Staff:
- Work alongside nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, and support groups.
- Collaboration with developing triage nurse center and hospitalist program.
- Facility:
- Oncology clinic with 10 exam rooms and an 18-bay infusion center (including private rooms).
- Adjacent imaging center.
- Utilize Cerner EMR system with Aria platform for integrated care.
- Call:
- Participate in a night and weekend call rotation.
- Location Details:
- Hospital with 318 beds; cancer center in close proximity.
- Adult and geriatric patient population (18+).
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certification: Hematology/Oncology
- State License: North
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
- Certifications:
- Skills:
- Chemotherapy, biologic therapy, hormone therapy.
- Experience with a diverse oncology caseload highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EMR Experience: Familiarity with Cerner/Aria system preferred.
- Hospital Experience: Trauma Level II experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $460-$470/hour
- On-Call Rate: $3800 for weekend calls (up to 4 hours on-site).
- Overtime: 1.5x normal rate after 40 hours/week.
- Holiday Pay: 1.5x normal rate for select holidays
