Responsibilities

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for individual patients.
  • Initiate and document appropriate interventions.
  • Prescribe drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation.
  • Assist physicians and perform procedures as needed; conduct patient assessments and provide physician with information prior to seeing the patient.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide education; promote wellness and recommend community resources.
  • Promote/provide staff education.
  • Complete patient office bill.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant.
  • Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.
  • Current BCLS.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Previous experience in oncology.
  • Incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
  • Knowledgeable of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of mentoring new mid-level providers.

The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks may be requested in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is recommended.
