Other duties may be required and assigned.nnAdhere to all facility policies and procedures as well as all DEA, BOP, MDH and DHS regulations.nnProvide appropriate nursing services and education to patients/clients.nnConsistently communicate pharmacy and nursing related issues and activities with RN Nurse Manager.nnObserve, record, and report, to the appropriate person, any symptoms, reactions and changes in a patient’s condition.nnReceive and transcribe physician orders to patient/client charts.nnChart nursing notes in an informative and descriptive manner reflecting the care provided and the response to that care and assist another nursing staff with the same.nnAdminister Mantoux to patients/clients and staff as required.nnAttend and participate in staff in-services and meetings.nnAssist Nurse Manager with audits, staff education, orientation of new nursing personnel and daily activities as requested.nnAll other duties as assigned.nnThe following duties are normal for this position at Residential locations.nnObtains blood specimens by performing venipuncturesnnReceives and transcribes physician order to patient/client charts.nnParticipate in report at shift change.nnComplete scheduled weekly updates.nnComplete scheduled chart audits.nnMaintain complicacy with the Minnesota Department of Health regulations.nnAttends and participates in staff in-services and meetings.nnNurses may not admit, transfer, or discharge clients. They may be directed to follow through with the process of implementation of the above by the director or designeennThe following duties are normal for this position at MAT locations.nnDispense medication as prescribed.nnMaintains absolute accuracy in daily accounting of all medications that are dispensed and in inventory.nnProvide ongoing training to dosing nursesnnAct as the point person for pharmacy, dosing software, policy/procedure and nursing related issues and respond in a supportive manner.nnConduct blood draws as required.nnAdminister EKG’s as requested.nnLead nurses are responsible for filling Suboxone carry outs.nnMonitor and order Subutex and Suboxone as needed.nnMaintain bins for new and discharged patients.nnMonitor for phase changes and specials and adjust carry outs prepped accordingly.nnMonitor for dose changes and adjust doses accordingly.nnMonitor for absent patients and adjust doses based on absent day protocol.nnFill and verify Suboxone doses for the upcoming three days, as required.nnObtain verification from PA of prepped doses.nnQualificationsnnMust have LPN licensennMinimum 1 yr experience in a chemical dependency facility andnn2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.nnMust know and understand all rules, regulations, and requirements of the assigned program.nnMust have two years continuing freedom from chemical use problems.nnMust have 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, discharge planning.nnIf currently employed for Meridian, must be free from any Corrective Action Plans.nnCPR and first aid certified.nnRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilitynn· Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple formatnn· Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.nn· Flexibility to meet a variety of changing prioritiesnn· Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reportingnn· Cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and valuesnnPhysical RequirementsnnHearing 100% Ability to hear staff, incoming calls, and callersnnVision 100% Ability to see computer screen and written charts to documentnnoutcomes and obtain datannSpeaking 100% Ability to speak to staff and reviewersnnStanding 6-8 hours per daynnBenefits:nnTwenty (20) days of paid-time-off + 6 paid holidaysnnHealth, dental, and vision insurance + HSA/FSAnn401(k) – ROTH and traditional optionsnnCareer path opportunitiesnnDiscount with Verizon cell phone plansnnTuition reimbursement and discounted tuition at select collegesnnA job with a sense of purpose as you help people on their path to recoverynnWe owe our success to the passion, commitment and expertise of our staff.
