The Team The Core wealth Platform organization is responsible for enabling Fidelity Wealth Business to accelerate the delivery of value to Fidelity’s customers by providing business solutions, automated process and security capabilities. You will be a member of a team who is responsible for building tools and processes to advance the organization’s ability to leverage the public cloud for solving business problems.
The Role We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with Strong working experience in AWS to augment the business capability of Core wealth Platforms using Cloud services. This position involves working as a lead developer, building tools to support cloud enablement, supporting the team; with a focus on achieving solutions of high value. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be applying your development and automation skills to develop, test, deploy file publishing / Processing applications using AWS technologies. You will also be an integral member of the multifaceted AWS squad continuously innovating and improving our enablement platforms and capabilities to accelerate Fidelity’s journey to the cloud. You will work on a wide variety of cloud native stacks and technologies, using groundbreaking architectures and services.
The Expertise You Have and Skills You Bring - 7+ Years of experience in Software Engineering and 3+ Years of cloud experience.
- Validated hands-on experience with Java
- Craft and develop Java based application programming interfaces (API's) through SOAP and Restful web services to improve back-end performance of applications.
- Extensive experience working with AWS services like Identity and Access Management, VPCs, Security groups, ELB etc.
- Extensive knowledge on docker containers and ability to understand and implement containerization of applications from scratch.
- Perform CICD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) using tools such as Jenkins for deployment of application docker containers in production and non-prod environments.
- Validated experience working with EKS, RDS and other components of AWS infrastructure for deployment of application using Docker containers and leading their interactions.
- Extensive experience working with Infrastructure as Code (AWS Cloud Formation Templates, Terraform, Azure ARM templates).
- Experience working with Event driven microservice architecture.
- Experience working with Test Automation Frameworks.
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS and front-end programming languages such as Java Script, HTML and CSS.
- Very strong technical curiosity to learn and passionate about new technologies and cloud trends.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers on standard methodology and engineering finesse.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Equivalent.
Dynamic Working At Fidelity TalentSource, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we call “Dynamic Working.” Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity location for at least two weeks, 5 consecutive days, every two weeks. These requirements are subject to change.
