Regional Service Technician

Georgia (GA) - Must be able to travel to Chicago for training

$30-34/hr + additional $4/hr for every hour spent at a customer site


Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a client in the manufacturing industry looking to hire a Regional Service Technician! This position is true road warrior, 100% travel in the general Georgia region. This comes with $60 a day for meals/per diem and a $40 bonus each night spent at a hotel, standard mileage reimbursement, and paid for travel plus an extra $4 while on site. This role is open due to growth and the company is very employee focused and ownership is making huge investments in growing the business. This candidate must be able to travel to Chicago for a training period (3 months) and travel for an onsite interview and technical assessment.


Responsibilities

They will be responsible for maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of company equipment. The job will include a good foundational understanding of both electrical and mechanical maintenance but will include higher pressure situations in front of customers.


Must Have’s:

· 5+ years of experience

· Electrical troubleshooting skills

o Experience troubleshooting PLC’s (programming is a plus)

o Working with voltage of 120v up to 480v

o Experience reading electrical schematics

· Strong mechanical aptitude

o Good foundational understanding of how equipment works and how machinery is put together.

o Ability to read a basic blueprint for a motor and be able to assemble it by reading the blueprint.

· Ability and willingness to travel

· Good presentation skills and ability to handle high pressure situations


Pluses:

· B.S. or A.A.S. or Certifications in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or another applied hands on degree would be preferred.

· Experience working with the installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of capital equipment

· Knowledge of Automation – any sort of Automation technology or automated equipment, conveyors, robots, etc.

· PLC Programming experience – whether it is certificates or hands-on experience editing PLC Logic

· Bilingual
