Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, prioritize, and carry out tasks or repairs efficiently.
  • Apply engineering modifications to equipment as required.
  • Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of installations for new and existing equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, OEM suppliers, and machine shops as necessary.
  • Organize and place orders for parts needed for repairs and projects.
  • Communicate schedules and delivery timelines for parts and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform planned downtime maintenance activities, such as grinder blade replacements or extruder screw changes.
  • Lead complex repair tasks, such as large bearing replacements or extruder gearbox overhauls.
  • Collect and analyze performance data for equipment as needed. Demonstrate expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting tasks related to production machinery.
  • Work with the maintenance manager to develop and sustain the CMMS program.
  • Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to execute maintenance and service tasks.
  • Identify issues, replace or repair components, conduct tests, and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
  • Must have completed vocational school Industrial Maintenance program or have two years (minimum) work experience in the field of Industrial Maintenance.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck and articulate boom.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read, speak and write English efficiently preferred.
