Responsibilities
Manages and leads the overall sanitation of food contact areas and manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with required standards for cleanliness. Assures food quality and safety while achieving established goals and objectives. Manages shift activities through planning and communication with team members to ensure all sanitation objectives are accomplished in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner.
- Oversees the storage and use of cleaning chemicals in the warehouse to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
- Tracks the usage of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Maintains a strong working relationship with quality and responds to deviations from standards immediately.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies.
- Provides training, guidance, development, performance evaluation, coaching and leadership to associates.
- Collaborates with department managers and shift supervisors to ensure a smooth shift start-up.
- Maintains company standards for cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety.
- Ensures adherence to quality, food safety and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
- Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.
Preferred Skills
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry.
- Working knowledge of sanitation equipment, procedures, and chemicals.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
