HNM Systems provides direct hire, contract to hire, and professional placement to the Telecommunications, Utilities, and IT sectors. HNM also offers turn-key engineering services for the design of outside and inside plant, power utility, and Wi-Fi systems.


***This is a field-based position. Client unable to provide any Visa Sponsorship at this time.***


We are looking for a seasoned Wireless/ RF Field Technicians in the Western market. This position includes some regional travel.


The Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • Over 3 years experience in the DAS industry
  • Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards, and best practices
  • Ability to coordinate with the general contractor and customer on the completion of the scope of work
  • Ability to acquire and save all commissioning data
  • Extensive knowledge of relay logic and Das integration with Fire alarm systems and monitoring panels
  • Experience installing DAS or in-building cellular systems
  • Experience commissioning public safety and cellular DAS systems
  • Experience installing repeaters, amplifiers of similar equipment
  • A strong background in RF theory (public safety and cellular)
  • Hands-on installation experience with Cat 5/Fiber/Coax
  • Experience installing 1/2" coaxial cable
  • Experience sweep testing coax & fiber.
  • Ability to read blue prints & Visio drawings and perform site surveys and signal testing.
  • Previous experience using OTDR, Spectrum Analyzer (Anritsu), Signal Generator and similar test equipment.


Job Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to instruct contractors on best practices
  • Project commissioning & optimization
  • Coordinate subcontractors/vendors
  • Logistics of electronics and materials
  • Performing site surveys/testing
  • Coordinate with AHJ and carriers onsite
  • Troubleshoot all systems
  • Closeout document completion
  • Customer service
  • Weekly updates on projects
  • Quality control management
  • Willing to travel if needed (some travel in the Northwest)
  • Terminate N-style connectors on DAS coax cabling
  • Install Das Antenna and Splitter
  • Mount Yagi Antennas
  • Label all devices
  • Mount Head end equipment and Battery backup equipment
  • Plan Cable Pathways
  • Site & Crew Safety, OSHA10, OSHA30

Compensation

  • $80k to $110k annually
