Chef Thomas Keller's team is seeking enthusiastic and capable individuals passionate about food, beverage, and hospitality to join us as a Host . As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for their dining experience, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Located within the Four Seasons Hotel at the iconic Surf Club, Chef Keller’s restaurant honors the location’s history of good times and grand parties with classic Continental cuisine for a modern audience. Like the swinging patrons of the '50s and '60s hotspots this restaurant celebrates, The Surf Club Restaurant knows how to have fun.
As a Host, you will warmly greet guests as they arrive, manage reservations, and efficiently seat guests in the dining area. Providing exceptional service, you will address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Working alongside the Maitre D, you will ensure smooth operations and seamless guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly greet guests as they arrive, manage reservations, and efficiently seat guests in the dining area, ensuring an even distribution of service.
- Manage Reservations: Utilize reservation systems to manage bookings, coordinate seating arrangements, and accommodate special requests.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with Team: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the host area and entrance are always clean and presentable.
- Promote a Positive Atmosphere: Foster a welcoming and enjoyable environment for both, guests and staff.
Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a fine restaurant, preferably within a Michelin-starred restaurant.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a hospitality-forward mindset.
- Attitude: A deep enthusiasm for food, beverage, and hospitality with a desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the dynamic nature of a fine restaurant.
