Job Summary: As a Dishwasher at Tasting House Los Gatos, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment, ensuring a constant supply of clean items for our culinary team. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of cleanliness that our restaurant is known for.
Key Responsibilities: - Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans used by the kitchen and dining staff.
- Kitchen Organization: Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Properly sort and store clean items.
- Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, countertops, and other areas as directed by the kitchen management team.
- Assist with Prep: Assist with food preparation as needed, including helping to peel, chop, or prepare ingredients under the supervision of kitchen staff.
- Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
- Adherence to Health Standards: Follow all sanitation and food safety regulations, including proper handling and cleaning of kitchen tools and equipment.
Requirements: - Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure an excellent guest experience.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure.
- Prior Experience: Experience in a similar position in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Flexible Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
