Position Summary/Purpose: Join our team in a pivotal role where your expertise is crucial to the success of each surgical procedure. In this position, you'll be responsible for preparing and organizing the operating room, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available. As an integral member of the surgical team, you will assist surgeons by providing necessary instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating their needs. Your precision, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure will directly contribute to the efficiency of the surgery and the quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare operating rooms and ensure the sterilization of all surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist in the positioning and draping of patients for surgery.
- Provide essential support to surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infections.
- Monitor and manage surgical inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to anticipate and meet their needs.
- Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications: - Certification / Licensure:
- Colorado Surgical Technologist license or ability to obtain before the start date (required).
- Basic Life Support certification (required).
- Related Work Experience:
- 4+ years of Surg. Tech. experience (strongly preferred).
