Job Summary: Electrician is responsible for the diagnostics, troubleshooting, testing, installing and repairing of equipment, parts, and systems in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining extruders, boilers, presses, mills, and the overall care of the plant.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Maintain machines and plant equipment including but not limited to extruders, presses, mills, boilers, fans, and motors.
- Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Codes, OSHA and standard industry safety rules and regulations.
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replace defective parts.
- Move equipment and machinery.
- Monitor boiler operation and perform adjustments as needed.
- Maintain consistent communication with production personnel in regard to changes and repairs.
- Preform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperatures conditions in usually an indoor manufacturing environment.
- Ability to transport and deliver a wide variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to work with a variety of equipment including but not limited to forklifts, man lifts, computers, grinders, welders cutting torch, drills, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and assemble parts as needed
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity.
- Including but not limited to sitting, standing, hand/arm manipulation, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, seeing, touching/feeling, hearing, and crouching.
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Two years of relevant experience and or/ training that includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and mechanical equipment, HVAC maintenance, or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Technical degree preferred
- Ability to pass standardized maintenance aptitude test
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
