The Laundry Attendant at the American Airlines - The Landing at Skyview 6is responsible for performing all duties related to the laundering and processing of all linens and maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Understand operation of washing machines, dryers and folders.
- Wash and dry all dirty linens towels rags etc. as directed by management.
- Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained.
- Operate iron as per standard and ensure that it is shut off at the end of day.
- Fold linens/towels and stock linens as required.
- Always practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests and fellow employees.
- Sweep and mop laundry floors storing all linens off the floor.
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
- Stocks all linen closets throughout the hotel as applicable.
- Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Pick up or remove, sort and separate soiled linen from laundry room area and carts.
- Restock sufficient linen supplies in appropriate laundry areas.
- Work all laundry stations and perform all functions.
- Turn house linen over.
Requirements: - This position prefers a minimum formal education of a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous hotel and opening experience a plus.
- Laundry experience desired.
- Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.
- Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards to
- Must be able to work 7am - 4pm shift, occasional weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work the majority of shift on feet.
- Frequently is required to talk or hear.
