Pay Grade: $62,400-$70,040 depending on experience
Reports to: VP / Director of Plumbing Duties/Responsibilities: - Responsible for assisting the team in the estimating process
- Perform accurate takeoffs from blueprints using take off software,(FastPipe preferred or willing to learn)
- Understanding project goals and deadlines and determining the scope of work and required contents of the estimate
- Analyzable drawings, specifications and project manual
- Identify potential errors or omissions on plans and bid documents
- Creating estimate folders
- Soliciting and evaluating vendor quotes and following up
- Developing and writing proposals with detailed qualifications and cost breakdowns on excel
- Manage multiple simultaneous estimating projects with consistent on-time
- Assist in maintaining project sub bidders contact list
Required Experience and Knowledge: - Associate's degree or related field preferred
- Some experience in construction estimating preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with construction contracts and pricing strategies preferred
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Diligence and attention to detail
- Acute sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadline
