We are currently looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team. This is a Full-Time position eligible for our Full-Time Benefit Package, Retirement, and Leave Plans.

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will support our team by being responsible for the following:
n
n- Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, sets up and maintains a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.
n- Applies knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
n- Organizes instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency.
n- Participates in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.
n- Follows appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.
n- Maintains current knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room.
n- Re-stocks Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
n- Assists circulating nurse in maintenance of physician preference cards.

Required Skills

n- High school graduate or equivalent.
n- Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required.
n- CST certification, required.
n- Current BLS required.
n- One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience, preferred.
