Overview
Hotel Adeline in Scottsdale is looking to hire a Accounting AP/AR Generalist.
An Entry Level Accounting AP/AR Generalist provides administrative and clerical support to the Accounting Manager.
The Accounting AP/ARGeneralist performs a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:
  • Provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
  • Types accurately, prepares and maintains accounting documents and records.
  • Prepares bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
  • Reconciles accounts in a timely manner.
  • Enters key data of financial transactions in the database on a daily basis.
  • Provides assistance and support to other departments and to hotel guests.
  • Researches, tracks and restores accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
  • Informs management and compiles reports/summaries on activity areas.
  • Ensures that hotel vendors are paid in a timely fashion, as per agreed upon terms and conditions and hotel policy.
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in accounting or related field desirable.
  • Previous experience in hotel Front Desk or Accounting operations. A/P, A/R and/or Payroll experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work effectively with the following systems and related hardware: property management system (preferable LightSpeed/MARSHA); accounting management system; point of sales system; office suite.
  • Ability to follow complex and detailed instructions.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and precise.
  • Professional attitude is required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Works well with others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.

Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $24.00/Hr. - $24.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
