Applicants that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.nnSciTec is seeking a Data Engineer / Analyst to work as part of our Project Control team to design, build, and maintain a scalable infrastructure for resource and project management. The ideal candidate is passionate about data, technology, and automation and has a strong technical background in data engineering, with a combination of technical and business skills and a demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively.nnResponsibilitiesnnDesigning, building, and maintaining a scalable data driven resource planning and management infrastructure used for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing business and project execution datannCollaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and project control specialists to define requirements and features to meet operational objectives and to support analytics use casesnnDesign, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured data from various sources into data storage systemsnnManage and optimize data storage solutions, including databases, operational data stores, and data warehouses, to ensure high performance, reliability, and securitynnIdentify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and infrastructure through optimization, tuning, and capacity planningnnDocument data pipelines, infrastructure configurations, and best practices for data engineering standards, ensuring knowledge sharing and team collaborationnnOther duties as assignednnRequirementsnnBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence/Analytics, or a related fieldnnAt least 2 years of experience in data engineering or software developmentnnDevelopment experience in Python and working knowledge of UI programming languages (i.e., JavaScript/TypeScript)nnExperience working with complex data objects in various formats like JSON, XML and across different DB designs like PostgreSQL, MySQLnnAgile development experience working with tools such as Gitlab, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and BitbucketnnExcellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detailnnEffective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across multidisciplinary teamsnnAbility to multi-task, communicate effectively, collaborate in a team setting, and handle assignments independentlynnAbility to obtain government security clearancennStrong numerical, verbal, and written communication skillsnnGood verbal and written communication skillsnnDetail orientednnCandidates who have the following skills will be preferred:nnAt least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis/analytics, or software developmentnnExperience working in DockernnIntermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office SuitennAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsnnActive DoD Security Clearancenn*Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employmentnnBenefitsnnSciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including:nnEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)nn3% Fully Vested Company 401K Contribution (no employee contribution required)nn100% company paid HSA Medical insurance, with a choice of 2 buy-up optionsnn80% company paid Dental insurancenn100% company paid Vision insurancenn100% company paid Life insurancenn100% company paid Long-term Disability insurancenn100% company paid Hospital Indemnity insurancennVoluntary Accident and Critical Illness insurancennShort-term Disability insurancennAnnual Profit-Sharing PlannnDiscretionary Performance BonusnnPaid Parental LeavennGenerous Paid Time Off, including Holiday, Vacation, and Sick PaynnFlexible Work HoursnnThe pay range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 / year.
