JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for interviewing and screening patients. Responsible for explaining procedure to patients if applicable. Escorts patients to respective area and changing patient for exam. Assists the technologist in day-to-day cleaning and stocking of rooms. Provides coverage at front reception as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education and/or experience: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge / Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. Demonstrates self-direction in improving and acquiring the skills and abilities necessary to enhance job performance.
- Abilities: Must be able to use RIS/PACS to transfer images and operation of CD burner. Must use RIS/PACS at front reception for scheduling purposes. Expected to have excellent manners and must represent facility in such a way that patients feel well cared for and would return to facility in future. Expected to demonstrate proper telephone etiquette, and strong attention to detail. Comfortable learning and working with new computer systems. Be able to meet or exceed patient satisfaction at all times. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to interact with patients and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
