MRI Technologist- Full Time Position

Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality patient care by performing provider-ordered MRI procedures and associated tasks according to protocol. The role involves collaboration with Radiologists and Medical Providers as necessary while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and promoting a culture of safety and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate, protocol-compliant MRI scans as ordered by qualified medical providers, consulting Radiologists as needed for patient safety.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by compassionately explaining procedures and addressing questions.
- Obtain and verify accurate medical histories, complete safety documents and consents, and ensure MRI orders correlate with medical necessity.
- Operate MRI equipment, power injectors, and positioning aids safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to MRI safety standards, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements, completing all required education and competencies.
- Report equipment issues promptly to maintain a safe environment and minimize downtime.
- Maintain high-quality imaging skills and ensure appropriate procedure and supply charges for billing.
- Coordinate patient transportation and necessary support personnel to avoid delays.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiology program.
- Experience: Registered Technologist with 1-2 years preferred; MRI certification preferred.
- Licensure: ARRT (R) (MR) required within 12 months of hire or transfer. BLS certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in imaging, medical terminology, computer systems, and excellent public relations. Must be prompt, courteous, and professional.
