DescriptionnnThe Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a fast-paced program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network engineering, a strong understanding of DoD IT requirements, and proven leadership skills. The Senior Networking Engineer will oversee the deployment of managed services. workstations, and networks, ensuring compliance with DoD policies and security standards. In addition, they will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The Senior Network Engineer will be an integral member of the Program Management Office (PMO) team, collaborating on strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with overall program goals.nnPrimary Responsibilities:nnLead and manage a team of network engineers in the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure for DoD environments.nnWork closely with the PMO team to align network engineering efforts with overall program objectives and deliverables.nnDevelop and maintain network architecture documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standards.nnConduct network performance monitoring and optimization to ensure high availability and reliability of services.nnImplement security best practices and ensure adherence to DoD security requirements, including Risk Management Framework (RMF).nnManage network incidents and problems, coordinating resolution efforts to minimize service disruptions.nnMentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.nnConduct regular assessments of network performance and capacity, providing recommendations for improvements.nnPrepare and present technical reports and updates to management and key stakeholders, including the PMO.nnManage organizational compliance with Leidos policies and procedures.nnBy personal example, set the tone and direction for moral and ethical leadership.nnBuild a culture grounded in the Leidos values, beliefs and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behavior.nnBasic Qualification:nnUS Citizen with a Top Secret clearance.nnBachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experiencennStrong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).nnExperience with network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.nnFamiliarity with DoD regulations and standards, including RMF and NIST frameworks.nnExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.nnStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.nnPreferred Qualifications:nnCertification in security management (e.g., CISSP, CISM, COMPTIA Security+).nnAdvanced networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+).nnExperience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.nnFamiliarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)nnPrevious experience working with federal government or military customers.nnOriginal Posting Date:nn2024-11-22nnWhile subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.nnPay Range:nnPay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00nnThe Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
