Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements: Our client company is seeking the right candidate who will have the following attributes:

· 4-year degree (BS or BA); Preferably in Supply Chain or Engineering (MBA a plus)

· Minimum 6 years of Strategic Sourcing experience ideally within manufacturing with categories/commodities to include chemicals, raw materials, contract manufacturing, packaging, capital equipment, etc.

· AT Kearney 7 Step Sourcing Process (or similar) preferred

· Desire and ability to grow responsibility within organization

· Six Sigma and/or APICS/ISM certification a plus

· Experience with sources of supply, markets, price and commodity trends with ability to accurately predict/anticipate marketplace events and develop action plans that anticipate implementation challenges.

· DEMONSTRATED HISTORY OF ACHIEVEMENTS AND QUANTIFIABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS - Looking for resumes showing achievements (i.e. not only cost savings, but how you got there), goal driven, metric driven (ex. reduced 3,600 supplier list by 13% by doing X, Y & Z).
