Job Description

Our client, a top real estate investment firm in Southern Florida, wishes to hire a lawyer with four to eight years' experience handling transactional work in the real estate sector to work on sophisticated development, acquisition, and disposition transactions. The successful candidate will report directly to the GC and get to interface regularly with both other members of the legal department as well as the leaders of the group's business teams. You will join a highly collaborative legal group with an amazing culture and extremely low attrition. The role is wholly in-office (save for a remote month every summer). Our client will cover relocation costs for this position.


Required Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Admitted and in good standing to a state bar
  • At least four years’ relevant experience at a top law firm or in-house (some experience at an AmLaw-ranked firm a must)
  • Deep working knowledge of real estate law
  • Working familiarity with real estate transactions (preferably spanning portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, development work, construction agreements, and finance)
  • Experience drafting and negotiating term sheets, finance paperwork, and facilities
  • Strong business judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Comfort working with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
