Position Highlights:
  • Position: Pharmacy Manager
  • Location: Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time - 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm
  • Required Travel: Yes


A Brief Overview:
The Manager, Pharmacy, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations within the hospital. This leadership role involves managing the pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

What you will do:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
  • Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of medication dispensing and delivery.
  • Implement and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Manage the pharmacy department budget, including cost control and resource allocation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of pharmacy activities and perform audits and inspections.
  • Implement and monitor medication safety programs and initiatives, reporting any medication errors and adverse drug events.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve medication safety.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide education and training to pharmacy staff on new medications, policies, and procedures.


What you will need:
  • Bachelors Degree Science Required Or
  • Bachelors Degree Pharmacy Required Or
  • Doctorate Pharmacy Required Or
  • PHD Pharmacy Required
  • 2 Years of pharmacy management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the state of Illinois. Required
