Rhombus is looking for a Backend Software Engineer who will focus on adding and maintaining product features and functionality in our cloud environment. This role includes working with UI teams to expose and manage data, designing data structures and databases, and adding to our analytics pipeline. Rhombus leverages a contract-driven micro-services architecture, built on top of the Spring Framework.
What You'll Do:
- Build and manage data pipelines and storage to support the training and deployment of ML models.
- Manage and optimize our analytics pipeline and help support new AI analytics and features.
- Work with many frameworks/technologies including Spring, NoSQL databases, real-time data pipelining, and more to build features that customers love.
- Design and develop a series of micro-services to best scale to workloads.
- Collaborate with many engineering teams to deliver high quality APIs to handle and expose both incoming and outgoing data.
What We're Looking For:
- BS or equivalent in Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend and AI development
- Professional working experience with Java & Python
- Familiarity with Spring framework, AWS (preferred)
- Experience with PyTorch, ML/AI is a plus
- Be a self-starter, comfortable making important decisions with limited oversight
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, with constantly changing requirements and priorities
This is an onsite position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office 2-3 times a week.
Compensation
Base Salary: $110,000-$145,000
Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
