Sr. Manager HR Operations - Job Description

WHO WE NEED:
We are looking for an experienced HR operations leader who is passionate about building amazing, consistent, fair, and scalable experiences for employees. The position plays a critical role as liaison/partner to both management and employees, which requires understanding the business, our specific talent needs, governance, and the competitive landscape to tailor our HR Operations programs and processes.

The Senior Manager, HR Operations will apply a broad range of advanced skills and expertise in the full range of HR areas including but not limited to data management, classification, processing,total rewards, policy and employee relations

This position reports to the CHRO and manages a small team of two HR Generalists and a Benefits Specialist. The ideal candidate will have passion and interest in mentorship and developing talent, and serve as an ambassador of HCSS values.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in an HR-related role
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, advanced Spreadsheet skills
  • Prior experience ADP WFN preferred
  • Prior experience designing and implementing total rewards structures including incentive compensation plans
  • Understanding of Federal and State employment and labor regulations
  • Exceptional process and project management skills
  • Ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including empathy and the ability to manage relationships with a diverse set of colleagues
  • Demonstrated professional and welcoming demeanor, impeccable ethics, and ability to work with complete respect for confidentiality of sensitive data and discretion
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or related field

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
In this position you will be experienced and credible to deliver personally yet strive to empower and lead the team in the follow aspects of HR Ops:

Total Rewards
  • Lead the team to design and implement competitive and equitable compensation structures (merit pay, salary ranges/structures, incentive/bonus compensation plans, and recognition programs).
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking studies and analyze the potential impact of alternatives to ensure our programs remain competitive.
  • Provide consultation, training and education for supervisors, managers, and employees on all total rewards programs.

HRIS
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR Operations team systems and tools.
  • Maintain alignment with Payroll, Accounting, and IT on interdependencies.

Workforce Management
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and reportable employee data. Strive for and model impeccable recordkeeping and reliable reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies, practices, and procedures for performance management and employee relations.
  • Provide guidance and thoughtful input to HR Ops resources as they navigate challenging investigations or cases.
  • Drive the team to automate workflows, embrace effective use of tools and technology, eliminating "paper" based procedures.

Compliance
  • Lead developing, documenting, and implementing SOPs (in alignment with SOC), regularly reviewing HR workflow, mapping existing processes and making recommendations to streamline functions, and supporting the other members of the HR Ops team in these activities.
  • Ensure compliance as it pertains to state, local, and federal laws on payroll and benefits.

Data Analytics
  • Produces, collects, and analyzes data related to various organizational processes and procedures to continuously improve those processes.
  • Uses data as evidence to support recommendations within the organization, to drive business performance and growth.
  • Transforms organizational metrics/data into useful insight to assist leaders in making more informed decisions about their workforce.
