About the Role:Glassdoor is seeking a strategic and innovative Sr. Manager of Community Engagement to lead initiatives that position Glassdoor as the essential platform for professionals to engage, connect, and gain real-time insights within their industries and companies. Building on the foundation of Fishbowl, this role will be instrumental in creating an active, engaged community that sees Glassdoor as the go-to source for understanding industry trends, company culture, and professional growth. You'll lead a team focused on scaling impactful community programs, fostering meaningful connections, and developing a new class of professional influencers, or "Worklife Pros," who share insights with our audience and grow their own influence on the platform.
What you'll do:- Community Engagement & Thought Leadership: Create and execute programs that make Glassdoor the hub for real-time professional discourse and insights. Launch initiatives that drive users to share timely, relevant knowledge and experiences that establish Glassdoor as the definitive resource for industry and company insights.
- Scaling & Iteration of Engagement Programs: Lead the development, testing, and scaling of community programs that facilitate deep engagement, knowledge-sharing, and industry insights. Drive a culture of continuous iteration to ensure that programs evolve in line with industry needs, user feedback, and platform goals.
- Fostering "Worklife Pros": Develop and manage programs aimed at nurturing a new class of professional influencers, or "Worklife Pros," who will share expertise, insights, and trends with the Glassdoor audience. Build initiatives to support these influencers' growth and visibility on our platform, positioning Glassdoor as the best place for professionals to build and share their personal brands.
- Community Advocacy & Leadership Development: Establish programs that empower users to become community thought leaders and advocates. Develop resources, tools, and training to help these leaders foster engagement and drive meaningful, industry-focused discussions.
- Industry-Specific Content & Insights Programs: Create and oversee targeted initiatives that support industry-specific conversations, allowing professionals to share insights, ask questions, and engage in trending topics within their fields. Position Glassdoor as the ultimate destination for up-to-the-minute insights on industry trends and professional knowledge.
- Elevating Conversations on Company Culture: Launch programs encouraging professionals to discuss and explore company culture, transparency, and workplace dynamics. These initiatives will help make Glassdoor the leading destination for honest insights into the professional world.
- Insights & Reporting: Design data-driven approaches to monitor engagement trends, community sentiment, and program success. Share these insights with internal stakeholders, using them to refine strategies that keep Glassdoor's community at the forefront of professional relevance.
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and lead a high-performing team of Community Operations Specialists who will execute and scale programs. Partner closely with cross-functional teams in Growth, Product, and Engineering to align on initiatives, ensuring that community-driven content and insights seamlessly integrate into the broader Glassdoor experience.

- Experience: 7+ years in community management, engagement strategy, or a related field, with experience driving user trust and engagement at scale. Proven success in building programs that inspire thought leadership and professional influence within a large, complex community.
- Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, set strategic direction, and manage program execution from concept through scale. Skilled in creating engagement strategies that drive platform relevance and growth.
- Community-Centric Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with experience crafting messages that resonate across professional audiences. Skilled in navigating community dynamics and fostering discussions that reflect the professional world's pulse.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in analyzing community data, trends, and sentiment to inform program iteration. Familiar with engagement and sentiment tracking tools and capable of translating insights into impactful community strategies. Familiarity with analytics platforms like Amplitude or Mixpanel required.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Skilled at continuously iterating on program design and direction to meet changing community needs and platform goals.
Compensation and benefitsBase salary range*: $151,300 - $200,900Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.
Annual bonus target**: 15%**Bonuses are paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviewsGenerous Restricted Stock Units (RSU):***Restricted Stock Units (RSU) are awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually.
