Miura America is actively seeking a Sales Engineer to be based out of our Chicago office.

The position requires at least 5 years of technical sales experience and a background in industrial or commercial steam boiler/HVAC sales and/or mechanical/electrical/chemical selling. You will manage sales cycles that can last up to 2 years or longer. You will be responsible for pursuing leads on your own as well as following up on leads provided by the marketing department. Knowledge of governmental emissions regulations is extremely helpful. Participation in regional and national trade shows and conferences is required. Strong computer skills are required. Willing to travel 25% of the time, mostly in the Northern Illinois and surrounding area. Comfortable driving long distance, as long as 7 hours in one day sometimes.

Purpose of position:

To sell Company's products and services that meet or exceed sales goals for this position. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers in order to sell our products and services. Must a have a professional sales background as well as a technical background.

Requirements
• General knowledge of overall commercial steam system flow and controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels in an organization.
• Basic computer skills.

Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business and 5+ years of technical experience in the industrial field
• At least 5 years of working with external customers
• Proven success presenting information to various audiences (executives, fellow employees, clients, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel
• Ability to multi-task
• Understanding of general business accounting skills
• Basic understanding of thermodynamics
