Job Description
Required education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required skills (rank in order of importance):
• IP network troubleshooting
• DNS configuration
• Understanding of monitoring tools (splunk, SolarWinds)
• Microsoft office suite
• Server batch scripting
• Technical writing experience
Preferred skills (rank in order of importance):
• Leadership skills
• Strong customer service
• Self-management
• Web programming
Required Experience:
• Database Platforms Scripting Language Experience (2 - 4 Years)
• Documentation/Language Technical writing (2 - 4 Years)
• Networking & Directories Understanding of computer and network operating system fundamentals (e.g. operating systems, applications, storage, networking) (2 - 4 Years)
• Packaged Applications Microsoft Office Suite (2 - 4 Years)
• Protocols Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, NTP, DNS, MLLP, NDM (2 - 4 Years)

Daily duties / responsibilities:
• Monitors, tests, maintains and repairs network and infrastructure elements for Clemson CCIT
• Monitors Clemson Network, Server, And Application Elements, Resolve Incidents And Service requests and/or consult with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution
• Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve network control Centre
• Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides tier ii support as per SME agreements
• Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches
• Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and knowledge base. Participates in training and cross training for the Tier II
• Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas
• Monitors mainframe, applications and batch processing. Responds to issues, alerts, incidents, tickets and resolve incidents and service requests and/or consult with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution
• Meets agreed sla time requirements

HOURS ARE 6PM- 6AM
