Job Details:

  • Pay Range: $42 - $45
  • Weekly Hours: Varies

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical nursing program.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure.
  • Preferred: One or two years of experience in acute care, geriatrics, adolescents, or rehabilitation settings.
  • Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.

Responsibilities:

This is a dynamic and fulfilling role involving oversight of resident care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Your impact on patient care will be substantial through the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care and Assessment: Conduct assessments, collaborate with Registered Nurses on care needs, and create personalized care plans. Engage patients and families actively in care decisions.
  • Understanding Disabilities: Deeply appreciate the multifaceted impact of disabilities, considering developmental factors across all ages.
  • Direct Care Delivery: Provide essential patient care under RN supervision. Monitor health status, respond to emergencies, and assist with daily living activities. Accurately transcribe physician orders and administer medications in compliance with policies.
  • Documentation: Ensure precise documentation of patient information, maintaining an understanding of the legal implications involved.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and care teams. Participate actively in patient care conferences.
  • Patient Advocacy: Promote and protect patient rights, privacy, and dignity, ensuring families are included in decision-making processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Optimize team performance through prioritization of tasks and effective delegation.

General Standards:

  • Foster a positive work environment by adhering to safety regulations, maintaining cooperative relationships, and upholding the community's image.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in policy development and engage in hospital committees to enhance community care.
