As a driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Handling touch freight, which may require lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing 75+ pounds.
- Assisting with lifting and moving products as needed.
- Pre-inspecting your truck, loading materials, and ensuring load accuracy.
- Setting up job parameters and inspecting the site for safety during loading and unloading.
- Maintaining regular communication with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.
- Alerting branch management to potential hazards on-site.
- Committing daily to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a valid Class A/B CDL license in good standing with at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Experience driving a manual transmission truck and operating heavy equipment for unloading.
- Capability to repeatedly lift 75+ pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
