Facility:Child Health PavilionDepartment:Developmental PediatricsSchedule:Part timeHours:8Job Details:nnDepartment Specific Job Details:nnDayton Children’s Hospital is recruiting for a full time developmental/behavioral pediatrician or neurodevelopmental pediatrician to join our growing team of 6 physicians and 4 nurse practitioners in our Division of Developmental Pediatrics.nnResponsibilities include diagnostic and follow-up services for patients with a variety of developmental and behavioral problems. There are opportunities for program development, leadership, clinical research and teaching with The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate must be BC/BE in developmental pediatrics and hold, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted Ohio medical license. Specific interest in autism, ADHD and newborn follow-up is desirable.nnDayton Children’s Hospital is a free-standing, multidisciplinary regional referral center. The Division of Developmental Pediatrics provides a range of services for children with developmental and behavioral problems. Our programs include:nnAutism Diagnostic ClinicnnADHD diagnostic and treatment clinicnnNewborn Follow up ClinicnnNeonatal Abstinence Syndrome Clinic (to start end of August)nnDown syndrome clinicnnCerebral Palsy ClinicnnCraniofacial ClinicnnMyelomeningocele ClinicnnAdditional on-site providers (current and future) include 2 Psychologists & Psychometrics, LCSWs, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists. Our practice is strictly outpatient and patients are seen at two locations; the main campus near downtown Dayton and the new Behavioral Health Center located in Springboro, Ohio. In June of 2019 we will be moving into a brand new facility devoted to complex/foster care and Developmental Pediatrics embracing the tremendous growth and need of our community. We have strong partnerships with the community for the development of our programs.nnDayton Children’s Hospital offers a variety of employed pediatric subspecialists, including Neurosciences, Clinical Genetics, Orthopedics, Endocrine/Diabetes, Medical Cardiology, ENT, Allergy, Adolescent Medicine, Pulmonary services including a certified sleep clinic, Gastroenterology, Urology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, and others.nnDayton Children’s serves a pediatric population of 510,000 from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. A new, eight-story, 260,000-square-foot patient care tower sits in the center of the hospital’s current campus.
