Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Job Specialty: Emergency Room Nursing
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 PM - 3 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of nursing experience and 1 prior travel assignment
License: Active RN license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC or TNS
Must-Have: Understanding of a Drug-Free Campus policy, ability to produce a negative drug screen for all panels, willingness to provide required personal information upon request
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in an Emergency Room setting
- Care for a diverse range of patients, from newborns to the elderly, with a wide variety of medical complaints
- Handle critically ill patients, including those experiencing cardiac arrest, strokes, and heart attacks
- Work within a facility equipped to manage level 1 and level 2 trauma patients
- Utilize EPIC ASAP system for patient care management
- Participate in a specialized orientation program focused on emergency room protocols and EPIC training
- Maintain a flexible schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday shifts as per unit requirements
- Dress Code: Tasteful scrubs with only solid colored shirts under a scrub shirt
Note: Local candidates are welcome, and floating to other units/departments is rare but possible.
