The Role
This job description is an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Field Operations Engineer who will be a part of the Operations team. This team member will report to the Operations Manager and will work closely with a variety of internal teams. The success of this role will profoundly impact our customers, coordinating and installing autonomous robots.
Overview
The Field Operations Engineer will be the go-to contact for each customer in a specified region. This position is responsible for the installation of robots at customer sites and providing side-line support for teammates’ customers as well. This position is built around delivering supreme customer service and support. The Field Engineer is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and excellent communication skills are a must. The Field Engineer will also coordinate with multiple internal teams, helping teammates across the country.
Territory:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Log all support and installation activity in our CRM/Support System Management.
- Perform robot installs in your territory by coordinating with customers, sales, and our supply chain.
- Provide robust on-site robot training to customer operators.
- Assist Sales with on-site field days and demos for prospects.
- Participate in trade shows for your territory, representing the company with professionalism.
Qualifications
The Field Engineer must have:
- Prior success in customer support, systems, or technical support roles.
- Ability to communicate technical and complex information, both verbally and written.
- A customer-centric mindset, maintaining professionalism.
- A strong ability to manage time and proven success while working independently.
- An affinity for technology; prior experience with a CRM system is preferred.
- Natural curiosity and creativity in creating solutions to issues.
- The ability to stay motivated and on task.
- Prior experience with, or passion for, the sports industry and sports technologies.
Requirements for the Field Engineer:
- Possess a current driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to travel and work remotely.
