Project Description:
Seattle Public Schools is currently implementing Curriculum-Embedded Assessments (CEAs) in support of developing a shared understanding of student learning and to provide teachers and school leaders with common platforms, languages, and experiences that extend beyond their school building and are district wide.
The Office of Assessment and Instructional Improvement is looking for a Specialist to assist with the project and support the development of systems for CEA initiative. The specialist will need to be agile, solution oriented, a self-starter, and willing to work independently as needed. The specialist should be familiar and willing to support the organizations’ vision and strategic plan. The schedule is flexible (M-F) and anticipated to take up to 20hrs a week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in Microsoft Suite, OneNote, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and related applications that include developing forms/templates, consolidating information, creating agendas, and taking notes, and editing/formatting documents.
- Communicate in a timely manner with organizational staff via Microsoft Suite according to projects standards, expectations, and manager direction.
- Prepare written information for reports, project deliverables, and publication. Ensure documents are formatted with alignment to organizational branding, templates, and style guides.
- Create, update, or label records, inventories or logs with new files and information.
- Develop procedures, resources, and other documentation for the systems based on the requirements collected.
- Collaborate and communicate with project teams.
- Ensure that Project and Product deliverables follow internal established standards.
- Facilitate agreement on deliverable format and content with appropriate stakeholders where no standards exist.
- Ensure that new standards, processes, and templates are documented and made available for future projects.
- Able to maintain appropriate discretion, tact and confidentiality when dealing with potentially sensitive information including K-12 student information.
- Familiarity with K-12 Public Education systems a plus
- Attend/facilitate meetings and trainings.
- Other related duties/activities as assigned.
