Manufacturing Operations Supervisor - Swing Shift

IDR is seeking a dynamic and proactive Operations Supervisor to join one of our top clients in Lafayette, Indiana . This role is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader to manage production, drive operational excellence, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team within a leading wire building plant. This will be a 12-hour, overnight position from 6:00 pm-6:00 am 3-4 days/week!

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor:

• Promote a Culture of Zero by ensuring compliance with safety protocols and conducting incident investigations
• Act as the management representative during off-hours, including weekends and holidays
• Oversee staffing: Manage schedules, job assignments, and vacation coverage
• Lead Tier 1 Daily Accountability processes with team leaders and facilitate daily huddles
• Drive efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S Lean Principles

Required Skills for Manufacturing Operations Supervisor:

• Energetic, forward-thinking, and proactive with excellent communication skills
• Proven experience in hands-on leadership and team development within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to articulate leadership impact with hands-on examples
• Experience in manufacturing leadership or supervisory roles is preferred
• College degree is preferred but not required; practical experience is valued over formal education
