Position Title: Business Analyst
Location: Columbia, MD (onsite every thursday )
Full time with benefits
Hours Per Week: Full Time (40 hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·Define and document business requirements and produce technical specifications for deliverables
·Communicate clear written specifications to data engineers
·Work with different stakeholders and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, technical, research)
·Assist in coordination of the Agile/Scrum process, moving to leadership role
·Assist data engineers with testing and QA of deliverables to ensure alignment with requirements
·Help your team solve difficult problems - learning from and sharing with team members
·Manage priorities and requests in an organized manner
·Develop business knowledge of Insights data and workflows, understanding relationships between data sets
·Maintain documentation of data sources, use cases, and output specs

Required Skills
·Excellent written and verbal communication
·Ability to understand complex business use cases and translate requirements into detailed specifications
·Ability to work with many different stakeholders and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, technical)
·Ability to prioritize and manage multiple job duties, including personal time management and organizational skills
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·Agile Methodologies – Familiar
·Experience with QA and testing processes
Preferred Skills
·Jira – Intermediate
·Excel – Intermediate
·SQL – Foundational
·Experience in healthcare IT or public health
Experience and/or Education Requirements
·4-year college degree (preferred)
·2-4 years working as a Business Analyst or similar role in the Data Analytics field (required)
