IntePros is seeking a Business Analyst to join our banking client. This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to be based in New York City.

As a Data Management Analyst, you will collaborate with source system data owners to document and analyze data requirements. This involves understanding the scope, limitations, attribute definitions, and interconnections of datasets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Data Management & Metadata Analysis: Utilize strong skills in managing and analyzing metadata and data processes.
• Data Query & Analysis: Analyze, query, and manipulate data based on defined business rules and procedures.
• Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve data errors by investigating their scope and complexity while recommending remediation solutions.
• Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc reports for managers and leadership as needed.
• Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and quality of your work through thorough research and detailed responses to stakeholders.
• Time Management: Work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing pressure and shifting priorities.
• Data Quality & Controls: Adhere to data quality standards, assess business impacts of data quality issues, investigate root causes, and propose long-term resolutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

• Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities, with the capacity to understand and articulate compliance policies.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent documentation, organization, communication, and presentation capabilities.
• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, but candidates with other backgrounds are welcome as comprehensive training is provided.
• Experience: Background in banking, financial services, auditing, or compliance is preferred but not required.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Experience in Excel.
• Familiarity with Confluence and Power BI is a plus.
• Knowledge of issue management systems and logical data models.
• Exposure to big data environments and applications is advantageous.
