Description
Medix Infusion is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Little Rock, AR. As the leader in the infusion suite, you will provide direct patient care, including administering infusions and injections, documenting care, and overseeing clinical staff. You will also collaborate with Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless and high-quality patient care while verifying all components for safe medication administration.
This is an onsite opportunity at our clinic, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, working with a small, supportive team in a professional and collaborative environment.

We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient's journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for patients, addressing their concerns and enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • Perform advanced assessments, diagnoses, and treatments, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
  • Educate patients and families about infusion therapy, potential side effects, and treatment adherence.
  • Coordinate care by consulting with referring offices, Nurse Managers, and Medical Directors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infusion therapies, adhering to clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for non-clinical staff in the Patient Services Department.
  • Ensure timely communication and collaboration between departments to prevent delays in patient care.
  • Provide training and orientation for new team members.
  • Attend departmental meetings and in-service training sessions.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and integrity in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in infusion therapy, home health, or related fields.
  • Certification in IV therapy or infusion specialty is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to build trust and rapport with patients, families, and team members.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, and reading. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
