A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday 8am-5pm/7:30am-4:30pm A caregiver who excels in this role will:nnUnder the direction of a Registered Nurse, physician, optometrist and/or podiatrist, perform patient care activities and complete required documentation for patients of all ages.nnCollect and document objective and subjective data and observations about the patient.nnContribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and report all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.nnImplement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider.nnDocument and verbally communicate the patient's response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.nnContribute to the revision of the nursing plan of carennProvide education and information to patients and family members.nnMaintain professional growth and development within nursing field.nnParticipate in the departmental orientation of new caregivers in a positive manner, share knowledge and experiences, and provide guidance when assigned.nnMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnGraduate of an approved school of practical nursing.nnCurrent Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).nnPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:nnOne year of patient care experience.nnOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
