Job Description: $30,000 Sign-On Bonus now offered to eligible hires\n Sign-On Bonus Details: $15,000 for a 2-year work commitment or $30,000 for a three-year work commitment.\n UPMC's brand new Monthly Loan Repayment Program, exclusively for December 2023 or later graduates, offering $9,000 in loan repayment paid over three years (Eligible flex/full-time roles to receive prorated amount of $6,300)\n UPMC Shadyside is seeking full-time CT Technologists to join our team Our department offers a variety of shifts:\n\n7am - 330pm Monday - Friday, including rotating weekends. \n4 10-hour shifts (varied) including rotating weekends & every third weekend midnight. \n\n If you are ready to expand your career in the Computed Tomography space, apply today to see where your career can take you\n Responsibilities:\n\nPerforms computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration without requiring constant supervision.\nUtilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation of image data and completes procedures according to protocol.\nEnsures all exams within his/her area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked through RIS system, all exams are properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed.\nAdministers PO, rectal and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to the administration of the contrast media required for the imaging procedure.\nPerforms a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes.\nReviews patient history and assesses physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of data.\nDocuments patient history in electronic record as required.\nDemonstrates proper technique in venipuncture; demonstrates proper use of power injector according to set protocols set by department and/or manufacturer.\n\nGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.\n\n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:\n\nARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program.\nMust obtain CT Board Certification within 18 months of hire date.\nCPR or BLS Required.\nCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.\nARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)\nBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\n\n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
