If you are interested in gaining leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, apply today Responsibilities:\n\nPerforms all job responsibilities of Level II MRI Advanced Technologist including practices and maintains MR safety in the department, addresses patient safety through proper patient identification, labeling/preparation/and administration of contrast and communicating according to standard operating procedures, completes procedures according to protocol while presenting relevant information to physician, and updates and documents patient information into rad assessment.\nLeads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame.\nAssists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of Advanced Level II MRI Tech and communicates results back to departmental leadership.\nCoordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.\nAssumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.\nAssists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of MRI Technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.\n\nCompletion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT or ARMRIT or CNMT program or accredited ARDMS program.\n3 years MRI experience required.\nPerformance review consistent with minimum of strong/ Solid performance on last performance review required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:\nARRT or ARMRIT MR Certified required.\nCPR or BLS Required.\nCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.\nARRT Certificate OR ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)\nBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\n\n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
