A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse

Your day begins with a warm greeting from your client, where you’ll establish a connection through trust and care. After assisting with routine tasks like disconnecting a ventilator, you will engage in fun, therapeutic activities tailored to your client's interests. Whether it’s enjoying the outdoors or exploring new books, every day offers unique opportunities to interact and provide care.

Throughout the day, you will administer medications, perform trach and g-tube care, and document everything electronically, making your workflow efficient and streamlined. At the end of your shift, you’ll ensure a smooth transition for the next nurse and leave knowing you’ve made a real difference.

Responsibilities of Registered Nurses (RNs)

• Deliver one-on-one nursing care in a home setting
• Collaborate with the clinical team and report to a registered nurse
• Adhere to the individualized plan of care
• Follow all clinical protocols and office policies

Requirements for Registered Nurses (RNs)

• Valid RN License in Pennsylvania or Multistate License
• PPD or Chest X-Ray documentation
• Current BLS CPR certification (in-person training required)
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with g-tube, trach, and vent care, or willingness to train
