The Proficient Licensed Practical Nurse works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care.Schedule 7 AM-7 PM Responsibilities GENERAL PURPOSE: The Center for Employee Wellness (CEW) Licensed Practical Nurse, under the direction of the Chief Wellness Officer or designee and the co-assigned Registered Nurse, is accountable for provision of direct care to clients in biometric screenings. The Licensed Practical Nurse contributes to department activities and supports enhancement of high quality, efficient, effective care. The Licensed Practical Nurse works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing client centered care. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Practice - Responsible for performing biometric screenings to assigned clients under the direction of the co-assigned RN. - Documents collected data, care provided according to department standards. - Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, compliance with department-based standards of practice, team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication. - Identifies basic age specific and cultural needs of clients and meets those needs through established standards of practice and timely communication with other team members. - Recognizes clinical situations requiring skills outside the LPN scope of practice and seeks appropriate resources to address concerns. - Consistently works to promote safe and effective client care. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: - Completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse Program - 6 months of LPN relevant clinical experience - or equivalent combination of education and experience - Interest in wellness, disease risk reduction and lifestyle medicine.
