An Echocardiography Sonographer is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice of the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer includes those procedures acts and processes permitted by law for which the individual has received education and clinical experience has demonstrated competency and has completed the appropriate ARDMS certification which is the standard of practice in cardiac ultrasound.
An exciting opportunity to join one of the top academic medical centers in the U.S. as part of an Echocardiography lab that was recently awarded the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission's (IAC) Silver (25 years) award for on-going quality and accreditation. Working as a part of our Heart and Vascular Center, our Adult Cardiac Sonographers are a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professionals, qualified, credentialed and experienced to provide diagnostic patient care services using cardiac ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of our team's work includes clinical care, procedural and research support. We are seeking candidates who:

  • Demonstrate the technical skills and abilities required to perform comprehensive echocardiograph exams in support of a diverse and broad schedule of services.

  • Demonstrates knowledge understanding and technical requirements for using Imaging Enhancing Agents

*Base rate starts at $36.13. * You may notice the pay scale listed below. However, it's essential to understand our compensation philosophy. We believe in recognizing the value of experience and expertise. Therefore, we typically start our offers at a base rate of $36.13 per hour and increase accordingly based on relevant previous experience. This approach ensures that we fairly compensate candidates for their skills and contributions, reflecting our commitment to equity and fairness in the hiring process.
Position Compensation Range: $31.98 - $51.17 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must meet the education requirement for Echocardiography Sonographer certification with either CCI or ARDMS; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: No experience required; 2 years relevant experience preferred
Licensure: RCS or RDCS with CCI or RCVT with ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, driving (occasionally for outreach clinics); reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: Manipulation of ultrasound transducer. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, and blood/body fluids disease.
