We are on the lookout for a Senior Cryptographic Product Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cryptographic Product Modernization (CryptoMod) initiatives and a solid understanding of Key Management Infrastructure. This role involves leading the requirements analysis, systems engineering, and design of new capabilities that address identified gaps in the updated Crypto Mod ICD.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply systems engineering processes to conduct analysis of alternatives and propose solutions that fulfill customer requirements.
- Collect mission-specific information and provide insights for infrastructure and end cryptographic unit development programs.
- Develop System Architecture, CONOPS, and use case scenarios using established systems engineering methodologies.
- Oversee requirements management, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation for future development and testing teams.
- Lead and participate in internal and customer-facing discussions and meetings.
- Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to San Diego, CA.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance after hire.
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in Cryptographic Technologies: Strong understanding of HAIPE, EDE CIS, and similar technologies.
- Familiarity with DoD Protocols: Knowledge of the dynamic discovery processes and security protocols utilized in DoD networks.
- Vendor Roadmap Insight: Understanding of vendor roadmaps for discovery technologies to ensure alignment with industry trends and innovations.
- Proficiency in Cryptographic Modernization 2 Operational Management: Knowledge of Configuration Management principles using NETCONF/RESTCONF and YANG modeling to optimize network performance.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex security requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with computing and related technologies, including:
- Software development methodologies such as TDD, Peer programming, and debugging.
- Programming languages like C/C++, C#, and Java.
- Software security and quality assessment tools like Fortify and Sonar.
- Version control systems such as PVCS, Git, and SVN.
- Scripting languages including Python, Bourne shell, and Bash.
- Collaboration tools like MatterMost and Teams.
- Web server configuration with servers like NGINX, JBoss/Wildfly, and Apache.
- Artificial Intelligence technologies including deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Database design and management, including SQL.
- Experience with continuous integration environments (Jenkins, GitLab-CI).
- Understanding of Cryptographic Key Management based on EKMS and KMI:

- Descriptive frameworks like DoDAF and architectural modeling tools.

- Data replication and cloud architectures.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, including:

- Tracking and optimizing Agile practices.
- Knowledge of Networking and Interface technologies, including:
- Web services (RESTful, SOAP) and IETF/RFC documentation.
- OpenAPI standards and ASN.1 constructs.
- Understanding of security requirements, including:
- Windows and Unix security architectures.
- Public Key Infrastructure implementation and management.
- Cryptographic mechanisms, including SHA, HMAC, and others.
- Experience in Requirements Specification and Management processes, including:
- Requirements traceability and control for testing and deployment.
- Knowledge of full life-cycle testing, including:
- Test planning, automation, and performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including:
