Including respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection in a multiple number of combinationsnnWork in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsnnWork in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosivennWork in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, including lifting in areas of low clearancennWork at elevations including working from ladders and scaffoldingnnAssist in field sampling activities and calibration of metersnnClimb ladders, scaffolding and into and out of trucks, tanks, and various other containersnnWork extended (> 8 hrs.) time periodsnnAttend all compliance and safety update meetingsnnInspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliancennSafe loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous wastennConduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessarynnFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rulesnnSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirementsnnSafely observe all corporate operating guidelines and proceduresnnObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesnnPerform other duties as assignednnBy position, ability to be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other weeknnBy position, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materialsnnReliable transportationnnValid Driver’s licensennAbility to perform physical functions per Key ResponsibilitiesnnThis position includes emergency response, a continuing condition of employment is agreeing to be on-call; on occasion working on weekends and holidays will be required; emergency response situations can extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12-24 hrs.nnPerform physical functions per job requirementsnnSuccessfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by positionnnPer OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.nnPreferred Qualifications:nnPrevious relevant labor experiencennWondering what to expect in starting your career with Clean Harbors?
