POSITION SUMMARY: Produces MRI images under the clinical supervision of a Radiologist. Provides a safe patient environment. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
ARRT certified, completion of formal training program in MRI Technology, and certified (ARRT-MRI) or obtained within 6 months.
Minimum Required: Graduation from a CAHEA (AMA) accredited radiography program, or the equivalent. Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, with up to date continuing education credits. BCLS certified; recertification required annually. Incumbent will receive on-the-job training in CT applications, if hired without experience.
Preferred: Associate Degree in radiography and ARRT certified. Completion of formal training program in MRI Technology, and certified (ARRT
MRI).
