JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Design Business Analyst with a strong background in business analysis, data modeling and data architecture. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

We are looking for a bright minded, self-motivated, team player with a strong background and skilled with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and abilities with:

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data-related projects.
• Designing and developing data models, data flow diagrams and data architecture.
• Conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns and insights to drive business decisions.
• Working with IT and development teams to implement data solutions and ensure data integrity.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for data designs, processes and standards.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.
• Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Participating in project planning, estimation and risk management activities.
• Law or legal domain background.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, IT, IT/Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in business analysis with a focus on data design.
• 7+ years experience in software product delivery disciplines and activities (product management, business analysis, testing and project management activities); including delivery adhering to Agile methodologies and the SDLC.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques (ER/Studio, ERwin, UML).
• Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) .
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Adept at working with business stakeholders, developers, architects, testers and others to review and ensure requirements are understood and implemented to meet business needs.
• Be a part of the change management process and effectively communicate required changes to development teams.
• Deliver project requirements and service levels in a deadline driven environment.
• Excellent client-facing, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Additional Technologies/Software expertise: Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Team System (VSTS)/ Team Foundation Server (TFS), JIRA, SQL Server Management Studio.
• Law or legal domain background.
• Certification in Business Analysis (Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Institute Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)) and/or Data Management (Certified Data Management Professional CDMP).
