What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join our team, overseeing all aspects of HVAC/Mechanical construction projects in the building services sector. This role focuses on ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved while meeting profitability goals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Manage all assigned projects, excluding manpower coordination, which is handled by Field Superintendents and the Operations Manager.
- Conduct project head-start meetings with estimators to acquire all relevant project details.
- Review and finalize project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate procurement, assembly, and approval of submittals with the Project Coordinator.
- Perform equipment buyouts and oversee equipment purchases for each project.
- Prepare and submit RFIs, change orders, and monthly work-in-progress projections.
- Conduct regular reviews of job costs and schedules of values.
- Manage project closeouts, including securing final punch list completion, retention billing, and ensuring all required documents are completed.
Other Essential Functions
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC/Mechanical construction.
- A minimum of 4–6 years of project management experience in HVAC/Mechanical systems, with additional experience in healthcare or building services preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of HVAC/Mechanical construction processes and systems.
- Proficiency in project management software, as well as tools like AutoCAD and Revit.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Clean driving record required.
- Expertise in coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to deadlines.
- Effective leadership to guide project teams and stakeholders.
